During the battle, we can only have 4 specific types of items assigned to hotkeys (but stacked in large numbers) and 4 skills. After each use, a cooldown appears, after which we can use the item/skill again.. Of course, if necessary, we can use different items at the same time.
Items are limited by the number of them available in a single stack (for example, 30 repair kits), but skills are limited by a completely different factor, which is the player's mana bar (called MP in this game). When the bar is low, we can't use any skills. Fortunately, this doesn't happen often, because the strip recovers pretty quickly on its own, and the items that replenish it are relatively cheap.
